I just got a review that found the beginning of the book over-the-top, not quite believable, but otherwise they seemed to enjoy it. I had to laugh. My life, although not quite like Devon's, is also very much unbelievable. Can a person have crazy friends with horrible boyfriends, special children, intuitive abilities she can't figure out what to do with, an out-of-this-world love interest, and more financial issues than fingers on both hands? The answer is, YES!
When I look at the clouds in the high desert sky of Central Oregon I think they should be captured in a painting, but I always think no one would believe they were realistic. Life is sooo much more complex than we expect it to be. When we open our minds, our eyes, and our spirit, we find more than the human brain wants to comprehend. The trick is to feel our reality rather than to try to make sense of it. Actually, that's mainly what this whole series is about. Devon must continuously embrace her new reality. She never gets a break. I can relate to that. How about you?
